Choosing the right fan is no easy matter for manufacturers of fan coils and fan coil units: As well as having to have the necessary output, operate quietly and be suitable for installation in the housing of the fan coil, the operating principle of the fan drive used also has to be appropriate to the requirements. After all, this has a decisive influence on how much energy is consumed and, therefore, the operating costs.
ebm-papst has taken all these aspects into account – and even more besides. In the past, the operation of multiple fans in parallel used to be problematic due to disturbing harmonics. These are filtered by the specially developed active PFC (Power Factor Correction) optionally available from ebm-papst, and no further measures are then necessary to satisfy the harmonics-related requirements.
 
 
Extremely quiet operation
 
Offices and hotel rooms – fan coils are generally used in places where people spend time. Therefore, stringent noise emission standards apply. The intelligently designed, aerodynamically optimized fans from ebm-papst guarantee virtually silent, efficient operation. Infinitely variable speed control also ensures an optimum air flow to suit the given requirements. Our GreenTech EC centrifugal fans are used not only in fan coils, but also in air doors – where they again provide the necessary air volume.
Single, twin and triple fans are available with GreenTech EC technology. These achieve air performance levels of up to 2,500 m³/h in the power range up to 245 W. Installation could not be simpler thanks to plug & play and extremely compact dimensions.
