At ebm‑papst, sustainability is woven into our very essence. As a global leader in high-efficiency motors and fans, we take environmental stewardship seriously. Our commitment involves minimising our carbon footprint and actively participating in sustainability initiatives.

Recently, our dedicated volunteers, including Managing Director of ebm‑papst SEA, Thomas Schwab, rolled up their sleeves on 19th March 2024. They joined forces with fellow sponsors from Camfil, RX Singapore, and Singapore Polytechnic to plant 50 trees — a significant contribution to Garden City Fund’s Plant-A-Tree programme. This initiative aims to plant one million trees across our island city by 2030. Through this event, we offset the 44.7 tCO²E GHG emissions from BEX Asia 2023 and collectively donated $15,000 to the cause.

But our commitment doesn’t stop there. Virtually partnering with Treedom, ebm‑papst has also planted 71 trees across various African countries. These trees are estimated to absorb a total of 38.19 tCO² over the first 10 years of their lifespan.

Beyond our recent tree-planting efforts, we recognise that trees are more than just aesthetics—they’re vital carbon sinks. By absorbing CO², enhancing biodiversity, and preventing soil erosion, trees play a crucial role in mitigating climate change. Our commitment extends beyond corporate boundaries—we actively contribute to a greener future for generations to come.
