Delivering fresh air to vertical farming racks

Fig.1. Conventional Solution

The Singapore government aims to increase local production to improve food security. This leads to increased activity among local farms and a deeper interest in new farming technologies, including ventilation solutions. Thus, ebm‑papst SEA is developing a new ventilation solution to replace the existing solution of using multiple compact fans per level in a vertical farming rack.

Compared to the conventional solution, the RadiCal with scroll housing and piping with slits reduce the possible points of failure. It is also more energy-efficient and IoT-ready. Farmers will have more speed control over the fans and have access to the fans’ status without checking manually.

Further details to be released following the commencement of MCE Asia 2022 on the 6th of September.

»Intelligent “heart” of home ventilation«

For effective and efficient home ventilation, it must be possible to precisely regulate the air flow in order to prevent overpressure and underpressure in the residential building. There are even more advantages for users if the fans are also able to process signals from external sensors.
