Jochen Frieß

Executive Vice President Global Product Management

He studied electrical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and the University of Stuttgart and graduated with a diploma. He also graduated from the University of Louisville, KY, USA, with an MBA.

He joined ebm‑papst in 1998 when he started his professional career as Sales Engineer.

In 2000 he relocated to Shanghai where he became Chief Engineering Manager at ebm Motor & Ventilator (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.

After his return to Mulfingen in 2003 he worked as Area Sales Manager, responsible for the regions Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.

He relocated again in 2006, becoming Managing Director of ebm‑papst Middle East FZE in Dubai, UAE.

In 2009 he became General Manager of ebm‑papst France/s.a.r.l.

Since 2016 Jochen Frieß has been back to Mulfingen where he first took over the position as Director Global Sales and two years later as Group Director Sales.

Since 2023 he is Executive Vice President Global Product Management for the ebm‑papst Group.
