In keeping with the motto of this year’s ISH “Solutions for a sustainable future,” ebm‑papst will be presenting its broad product portfolio for air, air conditioning, and heating technology from March 17 to 21, 2025 in hall 8 at booth F91. Alongside the various products and applications, digital solutions will also increasingly be in the spotlight.
Intelligent fans for residential ventilation
The AxiRev has been designed specifically for push-pull scenarios in decentralized residential ventilation applications and always delivers a constant air flow in both directions of rotation, even if the wind force changes. The new RadiCal 2 series and the RadiCal in a scroll housing have been developed for central residential ventilation units. The vane anemometer in the outlet of the scroll housing enables automatic control to provide a constant air flow. This makes it suitable for intelligent ventilation, which ensures a predetermined amount of air is exchanged in living spaces. This vane anemometer is now also available in 4 sizes as a standalone component for installation in ventilation systems. With the aid of an additional controller, the RadiCal in a scroll housing also acts as a sensor (“Fan as a Sensor”). When the filter becomes soiled, the controller emits a warning in good time to indicate that it needs to be replaced. This helps to make the most of further potential energy savings.
Powerful new RadiPac fan with active PFC
The 3rd-generation RadiPac fans have been developed for use in air conditioning and ventilation units. Most notably, these models stand out with their high level of efficiency and good noise rating. In addition to the RadiPac C featuring an impeller made of composite material, a new RadiPac fan is now being presented in size 800 with a metal impeller and motor size 214. This model is available in a compact support bracket for simple wall mounting and with the FlowGrid air-inlet guard. One of the features is the 3-phase active PFC (Power Factor Correction), which is designed to prevent current harmonics from occurring in the first place. This allows infrastructure components for energy and emergency power supply to be designed to be smaller, making them more cost-effective – an important consideration for FanGrid applications or precision air-conditioning units.
Sustainable heating technology: One step closer to a systems supplier
When it comes to heat pumps, it’s not just efficiency that’s important, the noise level is also key. To rise to this challenge, ebm‑papst has set a benchmark in noise emissions with its AxiTone series. By contrast, the AxiEco plug-in series focuses on a lightweight design and simple installation in heat pump applications. The new inverter electronics not only impress with their quieter compressor actuation, they are also very energy-efficient. In addition, ebm‑papst helps manufacturers to develop new generations of heat pumps by providing tailored components and thinking about applications holistically. In terms of gas condensing units, the CleanEco Sense combustion control ensures safe and reliable operation with hydrogen. ebm‑papst will also be exhibiting a sustainable, compact, and future-proof solution for heating air-driven heating systems, as shown by the hydrogen-powered heat generator.
Digitalization solutions from a single source for a wide range of applications
ebm‑papst offers highly efficient hardware for air and heating technology, optimized to meet the needs of each specific application. In order to meet increasing customer demands for lower costs, improved energy efficiency, and sustainability, the company is now taking the next step toward digital solutions. They are tailored to the specific needs of the various customers – from installers and service companies to manufacturers, system operators, and data center operators. No matter whether it’s a new or existing system, the digital services make a real difference in numerous ways, including optimized maintenance intervals, improved operational reliability, and further potential energy savings. In data center cooling systems, for example, this can even be seen at system level.
ebm‑papst with two expert presentations at ISH:
“Smart-smarter-retrofit – achieve energy savings of up to 60%”
Retrofits can deliver energy savings of up to 60%, huge CO2 savings, and failsafe performance. This presentation explains how it all works, what is required, when a retrofit makes sense, and what benefits are associated with a digital retrofit.
