In an efficiency class of their own
Energy efficiency legislation is becoming ever more stringent. In Europe, the ecodesign regulation for motors (EU 640/2009) currently sets down IE2 as minimum efficiency class. With effect from 2015, the requirements of efficiency class IE3 have to be satisfied. Similar regulations apply in other countries – efficiency class IE3 is already mandatory in the USA, for example. The good news: GreenTech EC motors from ebm-papst already surpass the standards stipulated for efficiency class IE4, which means that you will be able to plan with more certainty well into the future.
And efficient does, of course, also mean economical. On top of that, demand-based speed adjustment ensures that energy consumption never exceeds what is actually required.
