A liquid coolant circulates through channels in and around the battery modules. The liquid absorbs excess heat from the batteries and heats itself. The hot coolant is routed to a heat exchanger and cooled by the airflow of our powerful fans. The coolant is then returned to the batteries and the cycle begins again.

Compared to air cooling, a liquid cooling system is much more complex but offers greater cooling capacity.

Our compact fans remove heat directly from the batteries, where the heat is generated. The battery modules release heat, which is removed by the guided airflow of our fans and remains at a safe operating temperature.

Air-cooled systems typically have lower heat transfer than liquid-cooled systems but are more cost-effective.

Cooling modules with powerful fans—either direct ventilation or part of a heat exchanger—ensure reliable and safe operation of control and electronic systems in the smallest of spaces by removing heat from sensitive components.

As part of an integrated fire protection system, our ATEX-certified fans ensure that smoke and hazardous gases are removed quickly in the event of an emergency.

Heat is generated during the bidirectional energy conversion between the battery storage system and the grid. Both air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems can be used to cool the Power Conversion System (PCS), depending on its specific requirements and size.
